Bags & Blessings Auction & 5K Run/Walk Event Details
We are THRILLED that this is our 5th year anniversary for our Bags & Blessings 5K! We couldn't be happier than to share it with YOU!! Some things have changed this year so please read all the details provided.
Our event will take place in 2 locations this year: Bridgewater Borough Building- 199 Boundry Lane, Bridgewater & Beaver Station- 250 East End Avenue, Beaver
We are collecting yarn for the lap blankets! If you would like to donate, please bring it with you!
Medals will be given to the top (3) male and female winners in the respective age categories.
Please follow the signs for the designated parking areas in Bridgewater. Parking attendants will direct you. We will not direct parking in Beaver.
We encourage CASH but will accept credit card/Venmo for the auction and merchandise. CASH for all food.
EVENT DETAILS
Friday, September 8, 12:00- 7:00 – Bridgewater Borough Building
Chinese Auction and Swag Bag/Bib/Race Shirt pick up! No race shirts/swag bags will be mailed!
Food Trucks- Bear Fruit, Curbside Cocina & Papa Dukes will be on location, come hungry!
*Please make every effort to come Friday for swag bag pick up! *
Chinese Auction Tickets for purchase!
1 sheet for $10 = 25 tickets
3 sheets for $25 = 75 tickets
Yeti Cooler and Money Tree = $5.00 for 1 ticket $20.00 for 5 tickets
Auction winners will need to pick up baskets by 11:00 on Race Day or on Saturday, September 16 from 10-11 at the Bridgewater Boro Building! After September 16th all prizes not picked up will be forfeited back to Bags & Blessings.
Hope Scarves Drive:
Acceptable Scarves: 30 inches or larger square, 17 inches wide if oblong, lightweight infinity scarves, turbans & caps, and tube scarves (BUFF®).
Not accepted: scarves with fringe, ornaments, crocheted or knitted, no winter hats.
1 new scarf= 3 auction tickets
3 new scarves= 10 auction tickets
gently worn scarves= 1 auction ticket
Tickets can be used for the Yeti cooler with alcohol valued at over $800!
Race Day-Saturday, September 9
7:00-8:45 AM- Auction will open at Bridgewater Borough Building along with Bags & Blessings merchandise and coffee from HallowedGrounds! Auction will close at 8:45 AM sharp!
Bathrooms will be available outside the Bridgewater Borough Building.
Beaver Station
7:00-8:30 AM- Same day race registration, fee is $35, cash encouraged.
All survivors meet at the flagpole by 8:30 for the survivor walk!
Survivor Recognition Walk led by Tony Guy and Rae Ann Sarver.
8:15-8:45- Opening Ceremonies
We ask that all racers line each side of the East End Ave so our survivors can be recognized. The journey is difficult in so many ways. Let’s show them love and support!
9:00 AM- Race starts on East End Avenue. We politely ask that all walkers go to the back of the starting line, including anyone with strollers, small children, or dogs.
The race route has changed! The infamous hill has been removed!

Intersections will be manned by volunteers to ensure your safety and water will be available for guests near the finish line.
Medals will be awarded at the Bridgewater Borough Building after the race. 1st place winners in all age categories will be given a ticket for a free Chick-fil-A meal that can be redeemed at the Chick-fil-A table!! (1 ticket per winner).
Overall male and female will receive a special medal and a gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods!!
Chip Timing service is provided by Miles of Smiles Timing Services.
Dr. Patrick Krantz & Bradley Weaver from Westminster College will be conducting interviews at the race.
