My journey began in the middle of purchasing our family hardware store from my father in 2022.This is when I knew I was blessed. I could not have done this without my faith. Unfortunately my daughter had Leukemia was she was 6 years old and my mother had Ovarian cancer at 70 so I experienced cancer from two different roles and then when I was diagnosed I knew my faith was what would get me through. I already knew I had a great support system.

Watching how these two amazing deeply important people in my life faced their journey gave me courage that I, too can do this. I was blessed my type of breast cancer (positive HERR 2) did not require me to have chemotherapy or radiation.

I chose to have the breast removed, then proceeded with a reconstruction. While my “surgeries” left me imperfect I had to come to a point where it is what it is. I had my God, health, family and friends, and now a hardware store to keep me busy. I have a life to live!
